Handmade, Oaxacan Barro Negro shallow dish. Made of a natural black clay, each piece is hand shaped and set aside to dry for up to 3 weeks. The pieces are then polished with a small quartz stone, compounding the surface, leaving a metallic sheen once fired. Fired in underground pits or above grown in wood fire kilns, the unpolished interiors remain a matte black.
